Like Sununu and Collins: DROP DEAD.

Those robo-calls are really having an effect. The more McCain flails around, swinging at ghosts, the more idiotic he looks and the more the Rs in competitive races are looking for a way to keep him away.

Here are some Dem that are currently leading in their races:

AK-Begich over Stevens. The jury is (literally) out on this one. Win or lose in court I think Stevens is done

CO-Udall over Schaffer. Udall is up and looks pretty strong but the RSCC is throwing money at this race like GW Bush.

MN-Franken over Coleman. Coleman is a pretty good R but the folks up in the "great white" don't really like those robo-calls.

NH-Shaheen over Sununu. Sununu isn't as crazy as his old man was, he doesn't seem to be such a complete party hack, but he's probably going away.

NM-Udall over (whoever replaced the "not yet indicted" Diconcini), I think Udall is up by about 10 and McCain is still trying to get NM back intot he red column, but it ain't looking good.

NC-Hagan over Dole. Good riddance to that simpering idiot. I've waited since 5th grade to use the word simpering. The word for coined for the day she showed up.

OR-Merkley over ?? by about 20 points or so. Maybe Palin could make an appearance and get the poor guy down by 30.

VA-Warner looks pretty strong to take over from Warner.

The word on the street is that McCain wanted to go campaign in NH, ME and MN to help out Sununu, Collins and Coleman. Apparently they had ALL AIRPORTS closeed down to keep him out.
