He doesn't have a chance in hell of winning the state. Rasmussen has Obama up by 13 points and other polls have him around the same.

Pennsylvania

By the time it's done, he'll be in Texas trying desperately to hold on to his lead.

McCain can't pull out of Pennsylvania. If he doesn't win EVERY toss-up state, he loses the election.

It may be a smart move to pull out and redeploy his campaign resources to other battle ground states where he has a chance... MO, IN, GA, NC and VA come to mind...

I also am wondering why Obama does not carry a state like Indiana easily? I am in the Northeast, so I am going on the assumption that if he carries IL, he carries IN...like NY/NJ.

Please no insults...just looking for an opinion from somebody in the region.

Indiana and IL are very different demographically. I am more familiar with southern Indiana though...Very southern/Christian/conservative.

Me, too. I remember the day when Colorado was largely ignored. It was better that way, LOL!

The central/southern parts of Ill and Ind are very similar. NW Indiana is suburban Chicago. It's just that Ill has Chicago, which is "hard core" Democrat, and huge! I just heard a story today on NPR that McCain is barely ahead in Indiana.
