Oh man, can this be true? I Think Americans are actually getting it! Oh yeah...Go Obama. Hopefully this lead will increase. It should not even be this close.

Fifty-three percent of likely voters questioned in the poll say they are backing Obama for president, with 45 percent supporting McCain.
That 8-point lead is double the 4-point lead Obama held in the last CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, taken in mid-September

Yup.

RCP has Obama at >= 50% in 6 of the last 10 national polls, with the latest having him at 53% (a new high I believe).

Perhaps more importantly the number of undecided votes is dropping fast, with this latest poll showing just 2% of voters uncommitted - meaning that even if ALL of those go to McCain Obama is STILL ahead by an amount outside of the margin of error. Everything could change of course, but right now it appears that the McCain campaign is unraveling fast.
