what me lose? denial not a river in egypt. the good news if you can deny 10 trillion debt and a contrived war, the rest is easy. heads up expect a giant smear campaign or a war escalation very very soon.
I suspect the same and they may play to win at any and all cost.
Indeed it wasn't.
That's why I'm expecting a bump in the polls for Obama over the week-end.
Ken
Don't expect any Obama bump anytime soon. Obama is within one of his high and there is no reason to think he at this time can break higher. McCain can either go up or down. It is easier for him to go up as he is treading low. It is easier for Obama to go down as he is treading high. Obama needs to stabilize in the 48-50% range and let that be his new base. McCain needs to get back to his 44-46% base where he has treaded comfortably during the campaign. He then can retest his previous highs with a secure floor in the 44-46% range.
Perhaps the most important thing in the daily gallup poll today is not the Obama 7 point lead or that Obama is still treading within 1 points of his high but:
McCain has hit his previous recent low of 42%. The last thing either candidate wants to do this close to the election is to establish a new low and Senator McCain is close to doing that and needs a boost soon. Gallup Daily: Obama Leading by 7 Points
well, he signed for more pork on the bailout bill, no surprise people are angry..
McSame needs to start giving Americans credit for a brain, though we dont all own 11 houses, yet.

Frankly, a close race works to Obama's advantage. He can have a big bump the last week, but until then he's better off without it. A close race means people are more likely to vote. I've spent a lot of time registering new voters, I want them to stay excited and feel their vote matters.
I register voters here in Canada (US citizens and dual nationals) and I have never seen so many people coming out of the woodwork to vote. Including many first time voters who may have never voted in the states. This election is really getting people motivated to get out and vote. At the first Obama-McCain debate gathering in Toronto, 250plus people showed up to watch the debate at this bar.. pretty good turnout!
"ST. LOUIS — Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) now must win Pennsylvania, Wisconsin or Minnesota in order to get enough electoral votes to win the presidency, his campaign says.
Maine is not a winner-take-all state (the only other one that splits its electoral vote is Nebraska). And McCain aides, perhaps optimistically, are suggesting he can win one electoral vote by picking up one of the Pine Tree State’s two congressional districts."
And recent word is that Pennsylvania has now started leaning towards Obama. Plus, besides the Palin nonsense, you can see all the GOP heavy hitters are remaining conspicuously silent in the race. They can see the handwriting on the wall.
Not just a "win", this is beginning to look more like a "mandate" election for Obama.

There is 230 plus million of earmarks in the bailout for Alaska, simply amazing.
