Today I actually felt bad for Palin. She is really out of her element and has no idea what she is talking about. I admit that she has the ability to connect with people, like in questions about a mother being able to be VP, but when an audience member at a Republican town-hall meeting in Michigan gave Palin the opportunity to speak explicitly about her foreign policy experience, Palin just yammered on and on about nothing. She finally ended her comments by saying if people want specifics, which is what the questioner was asking for, "you can even play stump the candidate if you want to" by asking questions about foreign policy, which is what the questioner had just done.
Thankfully (and I say thankfully out of a sense of hating to see anyone embarrass herself), McCain stepped in and pulled out the same stuff about foreign policy experience = being governor of an oil-rich state, which is lame, of course, but at least his answer had something to do, in McCain's mind, with the original question.
The foreign policy question starts about 3 minutes into the video:

I think they want her there only to get McCain in office. After that, they don't care if the troopergate scandal breaks and she is found guilty. In fact, if she were, it could get her out of the way and allow McCain to appoint Lieberman as VP, which he wanted all along.
Yes, she sounded pathetic, like the dumb kid in school when the teacher asks him a question.
Pity she couldn't fire the reporter, because that seems to be the way she approached problems back at home.
I didn't read your link, but I assume this is one of the ones where they "headed for the exits" as soon as "iron John" started to talk.
I wonder where all the Barack haters are who were constantly berating him for saying the wrong city a couple of times. Turns out our little Sarah thinks that CEDAR RAPIDS IOWA is Grand Rapids! Proud Capn Marine will be right on this I'm sure since he was constantly harping about Barack doing it.
Of course in her defense, she can't see IOWA from her house. Therefor she shouldn't be expect to know anything.

If that was the softball rally they televised yesterday, McCain interrupted with some lame comment about her high school basketball experience.
Mccain does not seem to care how idiotic and power-hungry his party looks. And yes, Palin is just a mascot, a drop in the bucket, he is clearly using her to pander to the base.

Man, that was an embarrasing exchange. She was asked for specifics to rebut accusations that she has no foreign policy experience, and the most concrete thing to come out of her mouth was that if they she was "blessed" enough to be our VP, she would be "ready to serve."
And yes, she is just a gimmick to try to fool people into electing McCain. Plain and simple. Who can think that McCain picked her because she is the most qualified person in the United States to be a heartbeat away from the presidency?

"With her readiness she did not even blink then." She just wired dat way!
