Someone said to me today that they think the scariest thing about Palin is that she has (seemingly) no humility. I thought about that and tend to agree. I don't care what party you belong to...someone without humility in executive power is a problem, and as president of the US? Could cost a lot of lives.

As much as I can't stand Bush as president, he's got humility (er...how could he not...).

I was with you until I got to this sentence. My jaw dropped and hit my keyboard when I read it. I sure hope you were joking.

Bush - humble?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

Same here! The only humble person in that adminstration was Colin Powell and we all know where he ended up ...

Pitbulls aren't known for their humble nature. Throw some lipstick on it and it's even worse.

OP - you lost me when you claimed Bush is humble - he is anything but.

OK, let me clarify, because I realize how that sounds.

Bush is totally wrong about pretty much everything. His decisions have been a disaster and he doesn't see it.

But what I'm talking about very specifically is Palin's "not blinking" when she was asked if she was ready to be president. She didn't hesitate to answer that she was, and Gibson gave her an out - still nothing - nothing in her voice indicated in any way that she wondered if she could handle the job. I think it is only human to wonder if you can handle a job of that nature.

Bush sucks - but - you can see his insecurity in many of his speeches (which is part of the problem there, as he relied on Cheney darth vader).

So...hopefully I clarified...I think that in private, Bush probably has humility and questions himself. This is not an endorsement of him.

I think in private, Palin cackles and uses voodoo dolls on librarians.

I'm also adding that I think Palin is MUCH scarier than Bush. Bush is incompetent. Palin is incompetent and evil.

The scariest thing is that when, and this happens often, Bush gets a hard question, his eyes cross. Palin just stares at you like an old school marm who is about to slap you with a ruler.

No humility? No conscience.

But I think you are totally off base with this. Bush NEVER EVER questions himself - he has admitted to that. When Palin said that about not blinking the first thing I thought of was 'that's just like Bush'. Bush believes that the quality of the decision is not as important as the fact that he has made a decision.
