Its funny how some people here think John McCain is going to win the election just because Palin read one speech that was written for her. People are concerned about jobs, the economy, getting out of Iraq. They could care less about who could be the first woman VP. Shes nothing but a novelty that basically turned off alot of undecideds and independents with that negative tone speech of hers. It had no substance and didnt address what McCain was going to do about the economy. I have not heard yet what McCain plans to do. I'll I've heard are attacks on Obama and McCain's biography. Thats not going to be enough to win in November folks. McCain is running a Bush 2004 campaign. People arent stupid this time. Again there is just too much enthusiams on the democratic side which cant be matched by the republicans even with Palin on the ticket.

Sorry demos....
Not according to Gallup or Rasmussen. Where is your link? The only people reporting a tie are CBS, and they only surveyed 800 people compared to 3k for Gallup, and their poll is a day old.

So where is your link?

Actually, during McCain's own convention, he should be the one with the lead...

It now appears the Republican National Convention may be helping McCain to recoup some of his losses, though with Obama's current four-point lead, the entire convention period to this point has still been a net plus for Obama.

I mentioned in another thread.. his speech writer who put that word "resolve" in his speech needs to be fired.. it shot me RIGHT back to BUSH!!!

I do admire the man and what he's been through in his life..BUT.. I do not agree with Republican failed policy!

I've become a Democrat after years of being an undecided.

CBS poll shows dead heat 42/42. I'm no fan of polls because the only one that matters in November 2nd. I've never been polled, no one in my family has, no one I work with has, these are all voters that think differently, so they don't matter. Gore lead bush in polls and bush won FAIRLY.

Thats why I dont go by national polls/popular vote. I cant say it enough, its ALL about the electoral map and right now Obama has the edge.

Remember 2000? Gore won the popular vote but Bush won the electoral math. Another reason why im not going by national polls any more is because most cases, they poll about a hundred people from around the country. Millions of people will be voting in November. 2004 was an an extremly close race. But in 2008 there is alot more enthusiam around the democratic nominee this time. I have a feeling Obama is going to win by a bigger margin than people predict.
