As you say. Will the disappointment make you sad, because I doubt that!
It would be a sad day indeed if McCain were to win the election...if Virginia doesn't go blue it will be darn close. I just moved here last year...we have five children, three are voting age. Again, there are a lot of young voters here that are for Obama.

Great news, perhaps Tim Kaine and Mark Warner can make Virginia pick its first Democrat since 1964.

What you FAIL to see is the fact that much of the growth in the west and south is HISPANIC and once they begin to vote in large numbers, that will actually be a gain for the blue side. They are the reason that California- a state that gave us Nixon and Reagan- is now solidly blue. And they are the reason that Texas, Arizona and New Mexico will be in a few years.
I think you will find that much of that growth in the red states is blue. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Bingo. Many red states will be red no more due to migration from the blue states. See Colorado and Virginia. If they don't go blue this time, they just might next time.
actually the influx of newbies out west.. is what is making typical red states more likely to become swing states and eventually blue states... the number of voters are not changing.. just where they are voting from is changing....
