If there is a significant increase in population growth within a region, it could easily result in a shift in that state's voting habits. There isn't any guarantee or evidence that new voters in a state will follow the same voting trends for that state.

The fact that you tried to present this as a valid argument is a little pathetic, because you're making some assumptions that are childishly illogical.
