You must mean the balls that are dried up and no longer think on their own. He just needs to stay truthful about what he genuinely believes and not be persuaded by the masses.

I think it was the word "rather" which was out of place and made the whole sentence make no sense.

I understand there is a military town hall planned at Fort Hood, TX to which McCain and Obama were invited. McCain has accepted but not Obama. I guess Obama is following the advice of those who say the candidate should not go anywhere that they won't be met with standing ovations!

I responded to your quote and mentioned that I incorrectly used the word rather vs.whether. I must have posted it somewhere else. This is what I get for doing to many tasks at one time. Is my error forgiven??

Atleast mccain is trying to get some black voters. Alot of top black conservatives have told Mccain not to give up on the black vote. You do have to atleast give him credit for trying. I think republicans thought they didn't need the black vote as much. With the emerging hispanic population overtaking the black population in america. George bush won about 45% of the hispanic vote in 2004. But that has backfired on the republicans with obama having a 30 point lead over mccain among hispanics.

I don't think McCain should spend time campaigning in the Black communities, he will probably get about 2% of their vote. He should spend more time on the other racial groups, especially, latin-americans.

There's a thread about this somewhere. Ft. Hood says the military audience will be a mix of political opinions - he well could receive standing ovations. His camp says he's already scheduled for that day. Oddly, CBS committed to cover it before both candidates were guaranteed to appear

That said, I agree, he definitely should make time to appear there. Of all places! It's the biggest base in the US I believe (?)

They said they would accomodate Obama by changing to whatever date he was free.

The guy is a lightweight and this will come back to haunt him.

To think he would unconditionally meet with our enemies but not our soldiers or generals.

Yellow-belly.

Yes I think you are correct about Ft Hood. It is in mid August and you would think that Obama could rearrange his schedule for a nationally televised town hall. Really sounds suspicious to me. Maybe it goes back to Obama's fear of going head-to-head with McCain in a town hall format. No prepared speech or teleprompter, just answering questions from service members and their families.
