I mean, playing hard ball is not exactly the key to getting a VP offer from an opponent whom she already pretty much smeared all over every chance she got the last few months.
In public, she will stand with Obama and defend him. In private, she will smear him hoping to get a chance in 2012 when McCain decides not to run for another term.

I wanted you to be one of the first to know: on Saturday, I will hold an event in Washington D.C. to thank everyone who has supported my campaign. Over the course of the last 16 months, I have been privileged and touched to witness the incredible dedication and sacrifice of so many people working for our campaign. Every minute you put into helping us win, every dollar you gave to keep up the fight meant more to me than I can ever possibly tell you.

On Saturday, I will extend my congratulations to Senator Obama and my support for his candidacy. This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans.
I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise.

When I decided to run for president, I knew exactly why I was getting into this race: to work hard every day for the millions of Americans who need a voice in the White House.

I made you -- and everyone who supported me -- a promise: to stand up for our shared values and to never back down. I'm going to keep that promise today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life.

I will be speaking on Saturday about how together we can rally the party behind Senator Obama. The stakes are too high and the task before us too important to do otherwise.
I know as I continue my lifelong work for a stronger America and a better world, I will turn to you for the support, the strength, and the commitment that you have shown me in the past 16 months. And I will always keep faith with the issues and causes that are important to you.

In the past few days, you have shown that support once again with hundreds of thousands of messages to the campaign, and again, I am touched by your thoughtfulness and kindness.

I can never possibly express my gratitude, so let me say simply, thank you.

Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton
I'm glad Hillary Cinton ran for president, and was hoping she was going to get the nomination to proceed to be president of the United States. I'm now once again a undecided voter... deciding on whether McCan or Barack Obama should get my vote, or niether.

Okay, help me understand this! First of all, she will smear him privately? How so? by sign off on smear emails or by knocking on voters doors when everybody is asleep. I mean how is she gonna do it privately if her intentions is to get voters to vote against BO? Also, what's McCain decision not to run in 2012 got to do with the democratic nominating process?

Hillary is more than willing to help the GOP in the fight against Obama. She might misspeak and get him involved with sniper fire too. Remember, there's a vast right wing conspiracy she could tap into.

If Obama were to have a chance of winning this year, he'd run again in 2012. McCain won't. He's going to be too old in 2012 and would rather sleep than take those 3am calls. Her only shot at another run is to help the GOP this time around.

What? - and then Hillary will run on the GOP ticket in 2012?
What does a single term for McCain have to do with ANYTHING?

Your argument makes NO sense at all.

Ken

"I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democrat Party nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise." - Hillary

After reading that and other statements with the reflection and concentration necessary for those who's sentence meanings hinge on what the definition of what "is" is, where does Hillary concede that Obama is the Democratic Party nominee? Does anyone have anything where she states he's the nominee?

That's it!!!! I can see it now--everywhere she goes, furtively ducking into the restroom and writing:

For a bad time, vote obama

or maybe:

Here I sit, brokenhearted
Obama's votes should be discarded.
