Overall I thought Chris Wallace was fair with him which was more than I expected. Wallace asked the questions and politely allowed Obama to answer them without interruptions. Wallace acted professional and did not ask "accusatory" questions (which is what I expected). So at least for an hour today Faux News was "fair and balanced". If they could be like that all the time, I might watch them more!

Intellectualism is dead in the New America. One person one vote. Is there a reason to use a formula to determine the number of votes per person?
Here is one for a try

I+C+W+L= 4 additional votes

I= Intelligence
C= Citizenship
W= Wealth
L= Literacy

Now thats how Democracy might make it to the 22nd century in this country.

Am I kidding?

Thanks for the heads up on this interview. It airs in my area at 11:00 PST and so I intend on watching. I am posting the link for anyone who wants to read the interview.

Wow, was that Chris Wallace or Larry King interviewing Obama? What a joke. I guess they had to agree to throw softballs to finally get him on. It is obvious Obama is completely out of touch with what is middle class in America today. He thinks if you make more than $75,000.00 a year you are wealthy? A family of four is just getting by on that. He showed no substance in any of his answers and when discussing taxes he obviously is just lost.

First of all he said $102,000 for a taxpayer- not a family! Put your listening ears on! I agree with him. In fact there should be no cap on SS taxes at all. Then we could all pay maybe 5% instead of 7.5%

The 102,000 was referring to payroll taxes. He clearly said over 75,000 should be taxed higher. He appeals to those that do not understand taxes.

From the interview "So if you want to talk about who is middle class, me giving cuts to folks making, $60,000, $70,000 and potentially asking more from friends of mine like Warren Buffett, who I have no idea what he made last year, you know, that’s a debate I’m happy to have with John McCain.

Because it’s the people making $75,000, $50,000, $60,000 who are hurting.And when John McCain promises tax cuts to corporations that are not paid for, then what we are doing is loading up this nation with debt and if we’re not paying for it now, our kids and our grandkids are going to have to pay for it and I think that’s objectionable."

I don't think he's going to propose a significant tax increase on those making 75k a year.

You are only hearing what you want to then. He always cuts off who he won't increase taxes on at 75,000. When Hillary said 250,000 in their last debate he reluctantly said around 92,000 when pressed about the level of income he would increase taxes on. 92,000 is not that much money these days.

You do realize the median income in the US is 48k a year don't you? 92k is a lot of money, it is certainly more money than I make (I'm still trying to get up to the median), and more money than my father, nearing retirement makes.

You do realize that even with the current tax rates, out of 92,000 you won't bring all that much of it home. That is nowhere near wealthy.
