Not even that considering that there is not a country of Europe. University tuition and costs to students varies wildly from county to country.

That said, none of them come even close to the cost of a college education in the US. Much like healthcare, covering tuition is a half measure. It's the costs that we've got to get under control.

I think a more doable plan is to provide some partial solutions to help as many as possible.

For example:

* Combined state/federal plans to make Junior College tuition free. Substantially less money involved and kids can get two years out of the way before taking out loans.

* Making it mandatory for colleges to offer more work study jobs to defray books & tuition. My daughter attended a JC in California and thru this and full time summer work on campus she paid fully for her education.

* Being able to roll up school loans into a mortgage. The amounts can remain separate, but by allowing the total to be used in one payment will cut monthly payments substantially. If the house sells, the seller will retain the loan amount under a new loan so it isn't passed on to the purchaser.

Things like this to help as many as possible afford college.
I am paying close to 30% in taxes making $40K a year in an area where COL rent is $1,000 or more. College's at the CC level is $25K or more. Housing is $200K or more. Taxes are high not regulated go b where. Sanders taxes guarantee taxes will be utilized properly, regulate spending, and make America affordable.

And those countries that do pay for college, won't pay for the liberal's favorite degrees of "social justice," "gender studies," and the like...

They tend to pay more for STEM or directly applicable type degrees in need.

No they won't.

What sanders released so far about what he'd do would raise taxes, for everybody. They'd crush small business and would benefit large corporations.

Either sanders knows nothing of economics or he had some shill write up that portion.

This isn't actually a bad idea. You posted it before me, but it is something that I have thought about. It doesn't automatically mean military. There are a lot of programs out there.

The other things is make community college free, increase scholarships and grants, and allow people with student loan debt to declare bankruptcy. Part of the problem with the loans is that banks will give them out as long as they aren't eligible for bankruptcy.

If the taxes are anything like my state higher taxes, few changes to taxes on higher income, and ACA forcing smaller employers to close/plus high taxes in our state.

Less companies paying for Healthcare more money for them.
