If the GOP doesn't like losing elections because they won't support Tea Party candidates, get used to it. Donations to the RNC are drying up with Tea Party money going to the Senate Conservative Fund and Freedomworks. Tea Party patriots will not vote for RINOs any more. Short term this is good news for democrats, liberals and communists. It may take many election cycles for conservatives to gain sufficient strength to overtake both the RINO GOP and the liberal democrats.

Yep.

It maybe painful at times, but we'll get there.

It is all about liberty.

People are tired of Republican policies that keep wages low and enrich the very top. Republicans go on and on about how evil unions are, but compare the wages at union jobs vs non-union. Compare UPS, which is union, to FedEx which is not. UPS drivers make great wages (between 48-70k a year depending on how long they've been with the company.) get benefits, and get paid vacation time. FedEx on the other hand has divided the company between Federal Express and FedEx Ground and with FedEx Ground they designate all their workers as independent contractors just so they don't have to pay them a good wage or give them benefits. You have full time drivers working for FedEx Ground that barely make 25k, have no benefits, and are given zero vacation time.

This kind of contractor nonsense is happening in industries all over America. It's a Republican wet dream but for workers it is a nightmare. And when local Democratic politicians try to do something about it the charge from Republicans is that Democrats need to get off the backs of business.

Not a chance.

Copied from Wikipedia's Tea Party page:

"The Bloomberg National Poll of adults 18 and over showed that 40% of Tea Party supporters are 55 or older, compared with 32% of all poll respondents; 79% are white, 61% are men and 44% identify as "born-again Christians",compared with 75%, 48.5%, and 34% for the general population, respectively."

Basically, the Tea Party is full of demographic groups that have a slowly diminishing presence in the United States. So, a few election cycles from now, you'll have even LESS support than you do now.

What a lot of fluff and feathers. The GOP is having a very healthy battle over the direction of the party while Democrats continue to stagnate and give us a crappy economy and the disasters of Obamacare.

NYC went all in for the most liberal mayor it's had since David Dinkins or John Lindsay turned the city into the murder capitol of the US.

The 2 governors races were split 50-50 with the GOP winner in a landslide and the Democrat winner just squeaking by. On top of that, the GOP generated the strongest potential presidential candidate it's seen in years.

Yesterday was a good day for the GOP.

"The Liberty" movement brings in the younger demographic...at least here in the midwest.

^ Are you talking about Libertarians? That's not the same as the Tea Party, which the first two posters mentioned. There are definite shared principles, but you can say that about a lot of parties.

For a VERY general reference check this page out:

Libertarian Party on the Issues

...and compare it to any Tea Party politician's "On the Issues" records. Pretty different, right?

It's also worth noting that the libertarian belief has always brought in a portion of the young demographic, but many of those enamored by those beliefs tend to evolve in their thinking as they mature.

Republicans are not as anti union as you may think. Yes they are fiercely opposed to government sector unions. That is because the union contracts are a quid pro quo to support for the politician that is negotiating away the taxpayers money. Even FDR was against government unions. Private unions, on the other hand, have employers negotiating pay and benefits that they are willing to pay. The only problem is when companies are too big to fail, like the auto companies and get bailouts.

If you think democrats are not for those at the very top you are mistaken. The Obama administration has done more to enrich the wealthy investors than any other president. The Fed is "printing" money that has artificially inflated asset prices for the rich. His continuation of Bush's TARP made banks billions. But his poor job creation performance has decreased wages by 4% in his first term, and has put more people in poverty than ever before.

As people become disenchanted with Obamacare and the proven liars in the democrat party, they will remember it was only the Tea Party that tried to stop Obamacare.

The conservative base will stay home rather than vote for Christy. No more RINOs
