I keep thinking that the Republican Party will eventually appeal to more non-whites, but that day doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon.

yea, vote for Obama because he's black. If that is the best reason they can think of to vote for Obama that does not say much for Obama. And the brain power (critical thinking) is only skin deep.

Nice race-baiting.

What I got out of the poll was that of people they sampled for this poll that voted in 2008 for Obama or McCain...Obama wins over McCain among those surveyed 56 to 44%. A 12% margin, when in reality it was a 7% margin...so this poll oversampled 2008 Obama supporters by 5%.

Therefore, the Obama 4 point lead this poll might be...non-existent.

But even in 2000 and 2004, black voters overwhelmingly chose the white Democratic candidates. So it's not simply a matter of Obama being half black.

They polled a whopping 84 voters. The poll is worthless.

What?

The poll “was conducted of 1,000 registered voters (300 reached by cell phone) from Aug. 16-20, and it has an overall margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percentage points.”
