"Here's the rub with the law: While all those forms of ID are supposed to be acceptable, the law also stipulates that the required ID has an expiration date. Student ID cards don't have an expiration date."
and this:
"The only thing that matters with the law, at least to the Republicans who passed it, is not who doesn't get to vote. It's that only the right people get to voteāthe people who will deliver Pennsylvania for Mitt Romney."
So you are fine with Glenn Beck saying that Obama is planning on making a civilian army that rivals the military? Same kind of BS nonsense with the same kind of 'evidence'. Or are you only fine with out of context manure when it comes from your bull?
P.S. The solid majority of Americans want photo ID to vote. And it surprising that you approve of a blatant distortion.
quote:
"That's also the wrinkle in the law Pennsylvania Secretary of State Carol Aichele came up against when she was trying to convince the editorial board of the Erie Times-News that the law was a good idea. She showed her state photo ID, demonstrating to them that it was just one of many of the acceptable forms of identification. Which it actually is not under the law, because it doesn't have an expiration date. Oops."
I don't think the American people would go for that. Most of them won't even know about it until they get to the polls.
Pa`s governor who was the state Attorney General for 6 years failed to find one (1) case of voter fraud to prosecute but now he signs a bill to halt the non existant fraud. Anyone but a complete idiot sees this as voter suppression.

I saw that on PBS tonight, that statement is part of the lawsuit contesting the ID requirements.
What is so wrong with providing an ID? I don't get the problem?
For one thing you can't use many forms of ID because they don't have the expiration date on them. Another thing is if they don't have voter fraud then what is the problem?

How would they know they don't have voter fraud?
What is so hard about getting acceptable ID? people have no problem getting what they need if they get free money or food stamps right?
On msnbc it was estimated that Romney would only need 1/10 of voters without an ID turned away to win Pennslyvania.
