Obama captured 47% to Romney's 43%, a wider margin than the two percentage point difference in the December results. But Romney fared better than his GOP rivals in the likely swing state.
Obama led Newt Gingrich 51% to 37%, Rick Santorum 49% to 41% and Ron Paul 47% to 40%.

Poll: Obama leads GOP candidates in Virginia – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

Wow, for a guy that conservatives have proclaimed is headed for sure defeat, he's doing fairly well with actual voters without having even gotten his campaign in full swing. In Virginia no less.

Now, now, we all know that Northern Virginia is not the real Virginia.

Actually, that's really interesting news, since Virginia doesn't usually lean Democrat. If it's not swing, it leans right. I wonder how it is in North Carolina, just next door.

Um, no one has gotten their campaign into full swing, so for a candidate you claim is headed for sure victory, 4% points isnt exactly a landslide, is it?

Who claimed sure victory and ALL of the GOP candidates, especially Robney, have been going after Obama relentlessly for months. Also, a landslide isn't needed, just one more vote than everybody else in any state. Virginia is traditionally a right-lean state with a republican Gov... Obama leading there is news.

Slamming Obama isnt campaigning against Obama. Please educate yourself on the election process because one doesnt campaign against your opponent, until they are actually your opponent. Right now for Romney, that would be Newt, Santorum, and Paul

Translation: "Obama is a slam dunk, because if Obama is leading here, he'll lead everywhere."

(whistles) First Ohio, now Virginia is trending blue--and that's after three years of recession. I admit I am surprised.

Are you serious? LMAO..You and others have been claiming Obama is done for since 2010. Democrats know it's going to be a challenging reelection in a poor yet recovering economy. Slamming Obama is campaigning and maybe Robney spent too much time focusing on Obama while his current competitors were catching him. Saying that Obama is leading in VA today is simply stating the truth. It's obvious Obama will never lead in Alabama. Loosen up the tinfoil straps a bit.
