The evidence of a lack of enthusiasm for the assumed front-runner Romney is everywhere you look. GOP turnout is down significantly from 2008 in every state primary thus far. Romney got less votes this year in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada than he did in 2008, despite the fact that in 2008 he was up against some viable opponents. Three years of almost non-stop campaigning and his numbers are going down, not up. It seems the more people get to know him, the less they like him. I don't see how you spin that into a positive.

There is obviously not enthusiam for any of the other candidates then also, if that is the case. Romney is the one winning so his supporters are turning out. The party has been damaged, that is a fact, by the Tea Party and to an extent by other insitgators. It's a phase that must be gotten through. The GOP caused this themselves and they will reap the effects. It's not Mitt Romney's fault. He is just a victim of the times and the sentiment of certain sectors of the opposition to Obama.

I knew that having a special caucus would cause nothing but problems. It also makes no sense for that demographic to vote for Ron Paul.

Yeah that is messed up. If you are gonna keep it open late should be open for all. However, could just be some little "Hitlers" in the vacuum of lack of information. The problem ends up being nobody takes responsibility. Serious complaints should be filed for that.

Although I understand the reasoning, its a dumb rule. Leave it open for everyone, less hassle. Can people vote early or mail their vote in?
Go figure, good intentions gone awry.

I think the guy in the first video ate the voters.

This is why BOTG are so important. Too many things that go on that aren't transparent. Some of the reports I have heard from some of these precincts seems really messed up.

Anyway,
GO Paul Go!... LoL

11:00am EST: The Nevada Republican Party announces they are not going to release the final and complete vote results. Instead, they are going to hold an internal recount.

Still waiting for the official vote results.
Gee, why am I not surprised. Then, the Super Bowl's on. Huh, what recount? Romney "wins" with 48% of the vote.

The GOP leadership cooking the books.

I'm definitely not one for conspiracy theories. I love to make fun of them actually. But it's been a real eye opening experience watching the mainstream media's behavior this election cycle. They have quite literally had to be shamed into even covering Ron Paul. Fox News has been the worst of the bunch, but all of them are guilty to some degree. John Stewart has had a lot of fun making fun of the media on this issue.

Ron Paul Mentioned on Daily show: Jon Stewart exposes media censorship of Ron Paul - YouTube

Stewart is not a Paul supporter at all. Just making fun of obvious corruption in reporting on Ron Paul. In early debates Paul was getting a tiny fraction of time to speak compared with every other candidate. But over time and with enough folks calling BS on them, the media changed their tune ever so slightly. The story change from Ron Paul the unmentionable, to Ron Paul the "dangerous extremist" who "will never win the nomination anyways." There are certain things the media goes out of it's way to to suppress.

We've seen this for decades with religions such as Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses and similar groups. The media doesn't like them, so they are unjustly sensationalized and mischaracterized. Judaism -- the Holocaust turned the media machine 180 degrees on their attacks on that religion, but that doesn't help the others. Ask the average American to name one religious practice of any of those groups (other than the Jews) and the vast majority will not be able to name one actual practice or belief. The news media has been guilty of promoting unfair bias ever since there was a news media. Having seen so much blatant deception regarding those groups for decades now, it does not surprise me in the least that Ron Paul is being similarly blackballed. It's not a question of whether it's happening. The real question is in each and every case is, why are they doing it? Is there a hidden agenda and if so what is it?

The thing that stinks of corruption: Iowa had to move all the vote counting to a secret location, then "lost" several ballot boxes. As you may remember, it was a "missing" box of ballots that gave Romney the temporary victory and another that returned victory back to Santorum. Did they ever find all the lost votes? It's amazing how under-reported that has been. Now the county in which 70% of Nevadans live seems to be having difficulty counting their votes. What in the world is going on here? If it's just gross incompetence, why does has it only happened in states where Ron Paul makes a strong showing?

Granted, New Hampshire was a state where Ron Paul did very well and there was no controversy. That's good to see. Florida and South Carolina didn't suddenly have "technical difficulties" midway through counting the vote. So why did it happen in Iowa and Nevada?? When there was no conspiracy and the Democrats were actively trying to steal the election in Florida in 2000, the cries of conspiracy and the media coverage was all front and center. So why isn't this getting the same kind of coverage?

No, because this is a caucus and not a primary so it is done totally different than just going in a booth and voting privately. It's more like a meeting.
