"Perry laid into Romney for heading a company which Perry alleged eliminated hundreds of South Carolina jobs." Perry, who is looking to South Carolina to reboot his struggling campaign, also continued the attacks on Rick Santorum for voting to raise the debt ceiling eight times and supporting a number of earmarks...The Texas governor heaped a little praise on Ron Paul when asked if he’d be a suitable chairman of the Federal Reserve, saying Paul would be the “ideal person to head up the Fed and put a little fear in their hearts.”

(I don't know why the part about Romney is "alleged." Couldn't a big organization like ABC News check it out? More sloppy reporting.)

You might want to do some more reading, Perry attacked Paul over he ear marks, he questioned him adding ear marks to a Bill then voting against the Bill.

I think Paul explained his position adequately. He was against the bill, but added the earmarks so the funds couldn't be misappropriated if it passed. He went on to state that all funds requested should be earmarked.

Keep in mind that earmarks and pork-barrel legislation are not necessarily one and the same despite the fact that the terms are often used interchangeably.

Well the context of the praise has to do with running the Fed. If I was running for President, I'd be happy to have Ron Paul in my administration either as an economic advisor, Secretary of the Treasury or running the Fed. Everyone knows they can't touch Ron Paul on monetary issues. It's other things that people find troubling.

This is not a surprise. All Rick Perry has known how to do since he started was attack other candidates...mainly Mitt Romney. He is going down a slippery slope with the attacks on Bain Capital though and it will backfire just like is is on Newt. Newt and Perry might need to align with the Democrats.

Only in an advisory capacity. Would not be prudent to have Paul in the administration.

Now he is pandering to the left with class warfare? It's called creative destruction. Creative Destruction Definition | Investopedia Why don't you educate yourself before posting. A real conservative supporting Perry should be making excuses for this, not quoting him directly.
