He is a self important statist, but as an everyday citizen is entitled to air his opinion.

Waiting for the Newt backers to defend his logic.

Newt was explaining that as a result of the Bush administration being able to covertly prevent further terrorist attacks the people feel we are not still in danger and resist continued to support for protection they feel we don't need. Newts comment was that if more attacks had occurred the people would realize the continued threat. He was not saying we should have allowed attacks.

Of course, all the insiders know and admit among themselves that for decades the American Government has been planning the use of terrorism against its own population to manipulate the nation into going to war and accepting police state laws being passed in this country ...

Has everyone already forgotten the Northwoods documents released and declassified by the pentagon?

Quote:
Operation Northwoods was a series of false-flag proposals that originated within the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), or other operatives, to commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities and elsewhere. These acts of terrorism were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war against that nation, which had recently become communist under Fidel Castro.[2] One part of Operation Northwoods was to "develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington." Operation Northwoods proposals included hijackings and bombings followed by the introduction of phony evidence that would implicate the Cuban government. It stated:
"The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere."
Several other proposals were included within Operation Northwoods, including real or simulated actions against various U.S. military and civilian targets. The plan was drafted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, signed by Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer and sent to the Secretary of Defense. Although part of the U.S. government's Cuban Project anti-communist initiative, Operation Northwoods was never officially accepted; it was authored by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but then rejected by President John F. Kennedy.

(Just another reason why they Killed JFK ...)

And where did the terrorist elements in our own government get the idea to have false flag operations on their own citizens in order to control them? Look no further than the so very recent third Reich and their handy use of false flag operations in the burning down of their own Reichstag parliament building, for which they blamed Poland ... That is what essentially kicked off world war two ... Sound familiar?

Dont worry America, if Gingrich is elected, you are guaranteed to experience another terrorist act on American soil ... he will "let" one happen just so you have proof that there really is a terrorist threat facing this country that isnt set up by our own government!

Tried for treason, no. I think the OP needs to actually review the definition of treason in the US Consitution. Most probably do not see that he is echoing the goverment policy of Operation Northwoods in his little jab about allowing terrorist strikes so that the people are reminded how much they need their government. In this way his suggestion of policy is much like the Obama administration:

1) declare a problem
2) create the problem to prove previous declaration
3) solve the problem and in the process decrease Consitutional liberties

Newt has always been a proponent of placing security over liberty and outspoken in his support of the Patriot Act. This should come as no surprise to anyone.

I find the Newt World Order's endorsement of the writings of Alvin and Heidi Toffler (In which they proclaim the US Constitution must DIE so that a new civilization may rise in the 3rd wave) much more disturbing than this clip. YMMV
