Straw polls don't matter one bit. Just ask Bachmann and Cain.

And of course, the news media headline says this 'Cain Comes In 2nd In Oklahoma Straw Poll.'

Despite Suspended Campaign, Cain Visits OKC - Video - KOCO Oklahoma City (http://www.koco.com/video/29929586/detail.html - broken link)

Yup, I don't know how in earth Newt will defeat Paul in the caucus state of Iowa. Looks like he'll be stuck relying on the double digit lead he holds:

and I never say never or I certainly don't mean too, of course nothing is impossible, but some types of polls are not legit, you know this and so does everyone else.

No, did I ever say that? I said these types of polls are not scientific and are not accurate in any way. I am not saying his people had anything to do with it. I don't think Paul supporters have organized any of the straw polls, this isn't the way they work.

I think the thing we all have to look at and too many seem to miss: anytime, at this stage a candidate gets 20% more than their next competitor and the competitor has suspended his campaign you kmow there is something wrong. Even if the 2nd place candidate was still running, at this stage no one candidate would get nearly 50% in any legit poll, I don't care what poll it is. Now when we get down to 3 or 4 candidates, maybe..

The poll are junk when Paul won, but meaningful when others won.

I wonder why it is doctors like Ron Paul, Tom Coburn and the late Lawrence McDonald (Dem by the way) who know what's up?

I'd tend to think it holds a bit more water than a free poll but not thinking clearly? If you want to see unclear see the first part of your post.
you know these polls hold no water, none what-so-ever. As for Senator Coburn, I am very much aware of what he is saying. I do read a few publications daily, a couple of weekly magazines and yes, watch some TV, including Fox and CNN.

What I am referring to as to who is or is not supporting who, has more to do with what I hear from young people, not from people my age. I do think I have a slight connection thou with OK.

nope, they are all bunk. They give a candidate or his/her supporters brangging rights and help bring in a few $$s. Have you ever seen me claim any of them are meaningful??/
