Obama 53%
Cain 38%

NBC poll: Despite national pessimism, Obama tops GOP foes - politics - Decision 2012 - msnbc.com

Hilarious that these two "business geniuses" can't beat an incumbent president with favorable ratings in the low 40s and unemployment at 9%.

FYI: this is the first national poll taken after the 9% unemployment figure released on Nov 4th.

Obama is only leading Romney by 6% and he is the sitting president??? That does not look good for Obama since the GOP hasn't even nominated anyone yet.

You keep deluding yourself, Dixie. All the current GOP candidates stink. They have nothing to run on as obstructing Obama doesn't make him a failure. The President has not even warmed up yet. Once he starts, the annihilation of your bigoted GOP and the pathetic candidates you support are getting the boot.

Get ready for those sour grapes and prepare for another 4 years of this fine President Obama.

National polls a year from election day are meaningless.

it just goes to show you how stupid the average American is. Anyone with the ability to comprehend what they read should be terrified of obama being reelected.

If obama was truly concerned with our well being, he would not run for reelection.

49/43 is anything but a trouncing when you consider Obama is the sitting Pres and there is no republican nominee yet.

posted before I read your remarks: you and I are thinking this thing exactly the same way. In fact most Americans can see this is meaningless at best and bad for Obama at worst.

The same poll says 73 percent think we're headed in the wrong direction and 51 percent disapprove of the job Obama is doing while 44 percent approve.

Gosh, and all NBC (obama's network) had to do was survey 12% MORE of obama voters!

I guess the 6% he won by in 2008 wasn't quite enough to get the answer they wanted.

Of course that HISTORIC election of 2010 might justify using such a number.

Quote:
Yes, Voted
Voted for Barack Obama ................ 43
Voted for John McCain ................... 31
The question I'd be asking is why does NBC think they can FOOL the general public with these kinds of numbers?

The answer lies in the voters of 2008.

A DIRECT reflection on obama.

Strikingly, half of all respondents in the poll consider themselves supporters of either the Tea Party or the Occupy Wall Street movement, reflecting the current divisions in the country.
