The left is probably more than happy to defend Herman Cain. They would love to run against Herman Cain and make it easy on themselves. However, I have a feeling that they are right about this and Herman Cain knows what neoconservative refers to and was just not rising to the bait...good for him.

Not sure what bait there was, he was asked a straightforward yes or no question whether or not he was familiar with neoconservatism and he honestly replied that he wasn't. He's been pretty straightforward about his lack of knowledge of foreign policy matters. It won't amount to much either way since he won't win the nomination and the people who support him view lack of knowledge as a positive trait.

I read it and watched MTP earlier, I just happen to disagree with your assessment regarding whether or not he knows what neoconservatism is. His exact words in the interview were "I am not familiar with the neoconservative movement." I don't know how much more straightforward you can get.
