I do respect Paul for standing up against the corporatism/fascism going on in washington mainly from the right, as well as not being a sell out to the corporations among other issues. Not everyone just jumps around with pom-poms going "Gooooooooo team! Yay!" on one side for every issue no matter what. Honest discussion is a good thing
you're slowly getting it.
I do respect Paul for standing up against those who don't believe in freedom and liberty, as well as he not being a sell out, period.
Think of the ones in Congress who would hire a friend or pass legislation to help them. Look at Ron Paul who sites one of his heros as Rosa Parks yet would not vote for her to receive a Congressional Medal of Honor because that is not one of the duties of Congress. He always votes against things like this, voted against Arnold Palmer receiving one also.
What did Jon Steward say? "Integrity and honesty, that's not something Americans look for in a politician".
The latter. Online polls are virtually useless. You see, people on the Left routinely try and use on line polls by spamming them en mass in or to sway opinion and create a narrative.
The Paulinistas do the same. Flood the poll with votes for Paul, multiple times if possible.
Are you enamored of Paul now?
He can't win a general election, as I believe the Left knows full well, which is why they try and push him on conservatives as their best bet.
what?
the mainstream media only mention Perry, Romney, and Bachmann. Just like fox does.
your argument is just plain ignorance, but why not fabricate a story to try to make the left look bad? you partisan hacks make me sick.
Something I've been contemplating, as we all know Ron Paul does extremely well on online polls, with every one I've seen has him leading the polls by huge numbers over the other GOP candidates. The media on the other hand and other "professional" polls all have him quite low in the field of candidates. The question is are the online polls right and the media is just engaged in a conspiracy to shut him down, or are the online polls being artificially inflated?
Well, I think it is comparing apples and oranges.
Back in college I had to take a year of statistics, in which one learns, in part, how opinion polls are formulated. It is not simply stopping some person on the street and asking 'who do you like'. There is a science behind it.
The online polls have nothing whatsoever scientific about them. They are meaningless. If you believe in online polls, then you also fervently believe that the American Idol voting actually represents the opinion of the vast American people.
Those people were also one of the highest demographic groups voting for Obama and I think it has been established that they don't intend to take part next year.
Really? Can you provide a link to support this "established" fact?
With the online polls, some people cry foul. I just don't see how that is true. I'm on lists for all of the candidates, and when a certain online poll goes out, all of them BUT Ron Paul asks for support.
Like someone has said, more people contribute to his campaign than every candidate put together. We know the numbers of contributors, and all of these online polls barely demonstrate a tiny fraction of the base. I would think that many of the votes were also non-contributing supporters, or those who are new to Ron Paul. If the independent online polls actually demonstrated the sheer number of contributors, the MSNBC poll would be far greater than the measly 200,000ish votes.
