This is true.

Perry is a consummate politician and the embodiment of all the negative connotations that implies.

Wet finger to the wind.

It's going to be an interesting campaign. He's going to be extremely polarizing: much of the country still suffers from "Texan fatigue" and his bizarre supplication to a mythological deity for help with drought and recession is likely going to scare away many moderates. On the other hand he definitely has a scary amount of presence and charisma.

Many believe that if Rick Perry enters the race, he will instantly become the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. Perry certainly looks the part and he knows how to give a good speech, but when ordinary Americans all over the country take a hard look at his record, they may not like what they see.
14 Reasons Why Rick Perry Would Be A Really, Really Bad President
There are a couple of interesting things here: 1-you posted the blog without the name of the publication and 2-any blog that talks about 1/2 monster, 1/2 animal being developed isn't something I take too seriously..So, as far as I am concerned this is a nothing article..

Believe everything you hear?

"#1 Rick Perry is a "big government" politician. When Rick Perry became the governor of Texas in 2000, the total spending by the Texas state government was approximately $49 billion. Ten years later it was approximately $90 billion. That is not exactly reducing the size of government."

From the "it was approximately $90 billion" link...

"Depending how it is calculated, the debt of the state of Texas could be considered as high as $269 billion, which on a per citizen basis is $10,644 and is higher than even the $9,931 per citizen debt in the state of California."

EconomicPolicyJournal.com: First Look: Rick Perry

Note the "how is it calculated" link takes us back to the debt calculator which debunks the claim that Texas has more debt per capita than California.

He never even suggested seceding, he said: when Texas became a state they kept the option open and they could secede it they chose to do so. That was a tongue in cheek comment and not to be taken seriously. When are libs going to stop taking everything any Republican says to heart and yet not pay any attention to comments Democrats make that could be misunderstood?

C'mon, this stuff about Perry is ubiquitous with video and all. Are you too lazy or too frightened to Google it?

Anyone who has wanted to secede from the USA would make a very very bad President.

He should run for President of the confederacy.

In California (a total financial basket case), the debt to GDP ratio is just 18.7% and the debt per citizen is only $9932. If Rick Perry runs for president these are numbers he will want to keep well hidden."

Read it and weep.
You already know my position on establishment candidates. I don't cheer lead for the faux-reluctant ohhhh I guess I should run for president even though I don't really personally want to Perry, IRS tax attorney Bachmann, faux-folksy Palin, or the FNC backup favorite that'll probably be Romney's Veep.

Look, the truth is that another four years of Barack Obama would be a complete and total nightmare.
#1 and #3 are kind of related, aren't they?
At any rate, the quotation above should be underlined and present in everyone's mind come voting time.
