"Former corporation chieftain Herman Cain edged out former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in The Washington Times/Conservative Leadership Conference straw poll in Henderson, Nev., on Saturday... More than 200 conservatives attended the conference, with almost all of them casting straw-poll ballots for presidential nomination choices and a number of other questions."

As most of you know, I put almost no creedance (spelling) into these types of polls. We have seen how some of them have gone, but I will say, this rather surprises me.

These are the same folks that helped Sharron Angle get the nomination last time which is why we are stuck with 6 more years of Reid. The fact is that Cain is a candidate purely for entertainment. He has zero chance of getting the nomination.

Vegas Joe, you are right and as I have said, straw polls show nothing to speak of, but what this does show is a glimmer of what could be in the future. NO, Cain has too little experience (even though he has run a company which is better than being nothing but a sitting congressman or senator) but you don't run for Pres with no political experience. What this shows is how some are looking at the future and who they are looking at. I do not want a repeat of Reid either.

The only reason I called attention to it is because it's Nevada and all we have been hearing about is Iowa and New Hampshire. Are all of the people who attend this thing from Nevada?

Maybe you need to take your meds and go night night: this posting makes no sense. What would you expect him to say? What is campaigning all about?

Does everyone know that Cain was a former Federal Reserve Chairman in KY-- a BANKSTER????? Electing him would be like electing Tim Geightner for Pete Sakes! The BANKSTERS should remain as far from the Federal Government, or from all government for that matter, as possible! Just LOOK at how they have ripped off the people of this country ever since 1913!

And Duncan Hunter won the Texas straw poll last time around. Yeah...straw polls are generally pretty useless.

Straw polls are the best kind of polls. Polls in general are pretty useless, but a straw poll is far better than a phone poll, because you have accountability.
