Rmney isn't one of my top choices. But seeing him ahead of Obama in a state poll is impressive. If he is the nominee I will certainly get behind him. I want anyone but Obama.

Actually, I take that back, there are 2 Republicans who perhaps measure up to what you've outlined above: Jon Hunstman and Mitch Daniels. Unfortuntalety, they will go nowhere in the GOP primaries since the GOP primaries are dominated by evangelicals, teabaggers, conspiracy theorists, religious fundies, and birthers.
I didn't realize that "teabaggers" would that interested in politics. Unless you meant the T.E.A. Party.

Sure he does .. mostly among the first year college party boys and the homeless/welfare class though.

We've got to be careful ..

This is what happened last time, in that they wanted anybody but Bush .. we ended up with Obama .. I'd hate to see that sort of irresponsible voting happen all over again.

I see your point but on the political spectrum Obama is a radical leftist while Romney is a moderate Republican. Plus unlike Romney has a lot of real world business experience.

Like I said he's not my first choice, but I have a strong hunch if he won there wouldn't be near the level of voter regret we are seeing with Obama.

I agree, but I don't think Romney will get the nomination. I think you are going to see someone like a G. Johnson who is a little off the wall, but will excite people for a different reason than Obama did or you are going to see someone with little personality but more conservative than Romney without the medical plan fiansco in his closet.
