Thanks for the direct link - and no apology needed. It would be nice to be able to read labels telling what each photo is showing. For instance, is the photo with the yellow car in the yard the front or rear of the residence? I found the answer to my question by "Googling" on the address and thought others might like to see the aerial view of your property.

I'll be following this thread as work progresses and look forward to it.

Thanks Ocean. I will be following.

BTW: I loved the El Paso street photography blog linked from that site.

Jax good suggestion! Is there a way to put your request directly on the blog. I don't even recognize each of the rooms! Thanks Gary. All are welcome on there and I want to go to that party in ELP when its done.

You guys might remember MUHNEY who is one of the subscribers to the thread- I think its called "followers" Jeff seems to be doing fine and still loves a good political debate, however the house blog is not the place for it. You might say hi though. In the 3 days its been up its had over 200 visitors from 8 countries.

That's a nice property. There are a lot of inexpensive gems in Central El Paso that have renovation potential. Hopefully it's a trend that will revitalize the area.

Be careful with those floor sanders. If you don't know what you're doing you can ruin a floor.

From what I hear they are doing good work- but my source is their neighbors.

The next decision is about the floor in the dining room. It was tile that had to be removed because the floors weren't even. That blog doesn't have much discussion really- perhaps because one has to click followers to make a comment. Then Kevin gets back and replies.

Anyway at first I wanted slate but further research says its hard to clean and the worst surface to fall on. Buying slate tiles is not expensive about $2-4 per square foot.

I'm now more set on marble. I've always liked marble and its easier to clean and actually cools a place during the summer.
