the US auto manufacturers also have net phantom credit default swaps in circulation: $11 billion for Ford, $4 billion for General Motors, and $3.3 billion for DaimlerChrysler (plus an additional $3.5 billion at the parent Daimler). Of course, these numbers change from week to week and only represent CDS voluntarily registered with the DTCC, so the real numbers could be much greater.

Reason: copyright issues
Do you think you can stop stealing text from other sites and posting it here? Its not even legal. If you want to refer people to a particular part of an article quote a couple of sentences with a link to the article.
No, I'm criticizing you because what you are doing is illegal. You can't steal text from other authors and post it here without even indicating that you are quoting them. That is plagiarism. It is also against city-data's TOS.
On the other hand posting a link to an article is perfectly legal.
I don't know what articles you are referencing but I think getting worried about plagiarism takes away from the debates on this forum. We should be citing our sources as we should not be posting entire articles. This doesn't always happen and I am sure the moderators do their best to delete posts that have copyright enfringement.
Just stick to the debates, whatever position you take, and let the moderators worry about plagiarism.
BTW, any long-term forecast for home price bottom yet for national or California?

If a poster is worried about other people not following the TOS, wouldn't it make more sense for that poster to follow the TOS and report the post instead of engaging in personal attacks?
Stating a fact is not a personal attack, the posted text was taken from another author. They have done this multiple times now and it was getting annoying. Also, I'm not so concerned by people following the TOS rather about people not stealing material from other authors. I didn't report it because I hoped they would do the right thing in the future.
You guys can defend plagiarism all you want though....
i think you are missing the point that it was only a small segment of that very long article followed by a small segment from another article. the source you provided isn't even the source where i got my information. i have seen that first report (in its entirety) on at least 20 different blogs and i am sure that there are many more out there that i have not accessed. i am personally glad when someone brings something to my attention that i did not know or have overlooked, even if i don't necessarily agree with it. you cannot have too much information! this forum serves an educational purpose for everybody who enters it and that is a good thing.
