I just read in the NY Post that one gas station in Queens is charging $4.00 per gallon for regular. I know that NJ and NY where I fill "premium" is around $3.79. It's costing me close to a $100 to fill my tank!!! I am going out of my mind!

What is the gas prices where you live?
How do you feel about this issue?
What do you plan to do control the costs or are you going to just stay the course and not make any life style changes?

I am paying about 3.59 a gallon... I am just waiting, WAITING for the socialists to tell me that everyone who makes a lot of money ought to pay for everyone else's gas... I know its coming... lets reduce taxes and subsidize gas prices... hmm.. we have a shortfall on the budget... lets increase the top 10% wage earners taxes to cover it... I know people are going to talk about it pretty soon... they already talking about socialized medicine, socialized car repairs, socialized this and that...

Regular is $3.74 here in Northern Maine so if I let the tank run almost dry it costs just over $150. Not much I can really do about it.

- I just paid $3.85 at costco yesterday here in Southern California.
- I think its great, finally some progress is happening with renewable energy.
- Last year I purchased a smaller car (costs about 50 bucks to fill up right now) as I predicted the prices will start to increase due to China/India. I also moved to be closer to things, I only need to fill up around every 3-4 weeks.

Honestly, I can only laugh at the folks paying 100~150 to fill their tank.

Most likely, right now they are in the "Someone has to do something about it.....(just not me)" phase. People simply don't understand why the prices are the way they are.

I just filled up for $3.22/gallon yesterday. I live right off "Gas Road" - it's a road with seven competing gas stations, so it's always cheap.
