Wow, hits so many points about the politics of paranoia if I didn't know better I would think it's a textbook example.

The Paranoid Style in American Politics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
The enemy is clearly delineated: he is a perfect model of malice, a kind of amoral superman — sinister, ubiquitous, powerful, cruel, sensual, luxury-loving.

The paranoid’s interpretation of history is distinctly personal: decisive events are not taken as part of the stream of history, but as the consequences of someone’s will.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Neo-McCarthyism is alive and well in this country, but ultimately the conspiratorial tone and overheated rhetoric will be the downfall of the Republican Party. The boiler plate talk is representative of a party in distress, out of step with shifting demographics, and fearful of a loss of influence with younger generations.

Not saying you're wrong, but it sure is easy to write a sweeping condemnation. Not a single example, no supporting argumentation. How about backing up your opinions?
