"In online discussions, accusations of "drinking the Kool-Aid" are often lobbed at skeptics by true believers. In particular this goes for conspiracy theorists and political extremists, who will throw the term about with abandon at anyone who doubts whatever BS they are spouting.
...
They don't seem to get that they, themselves, are far more in line with those who followed Jim Jones into eternity than are those who are based in reality and have better things to do than bother with extremism."

Yes, that's exactly what government wants people to think. Banks and corporations owning it all?? Hardly! Banks and corporations may be greedy and corrupt, but they're bush league compared to the government.

I suggest that you read "Area 51" a history of a secret base as well as any other book you can lay hands on that details the corporate influence that ramped up right after WWII.

As it stand now you ,and several other members here, are very mis-informed on this topic.

"Sheeple (a portmanteau of the english word "sheep" and the also-in-english word "people") is an internet meme used mainly by political cranks to describe the great unwashed masses that are blissfully unaware of whatever fringe issue is currently in vogue."

We are simply reverting back to the two tiered system of Lords and Peasants.
The rich will tell you that is the natural order of man, and that all experiments in democracy and representative forms of government are destined to fail.
The peasants simply do not have the intelligence and self discipline to govern themselves, or to look out after their own self interests, much less to plan for the future.
For the most part from what I have witnessed in my life, there is a lot of truth to what they say.
The masses are easily manipulated and deceived and can not be allowed to make critical decisions. Even in this forum, where ideas and philosophies are openly debated, and the level of intelligence is higher than what you would find among the general public, few understand the workings of government and commerce.
What the article fails to point out is that the Banks, Corporations, and Government already own it all.
Real property has not been owned by the peasants since the elimination of allodial titles in the 1800’s.
What ever you believe you own, is pledged by your own agreement to pay for the debts of the Government.
Corporations have powers and rights superior to citizens, who's rights have been systematically eviscerated by the government since the beginning.
In the end the majority of people live their entire lives in debt and servitude to the powers that be. They die with little to show for their lifetime of toil, and little to pass on to their heirs who are destine to follow in their footsteps. There descendents will live in servitude as they have, there only purpose to serve and enrichen the Lords of Government and commerce.

And if you did not like THAT attractive Choice behind Door 1 . . . .

Behind Door 2 we have:

The Indian Reservation. Those folks seemed to have a hard time figuring out just how good Door 1 was.

or Door 3 -- Your new job in the . . .

Prison Industry.

Now career choices have expanded beyond making License Plates, to include tele-marketing, farming, laundry, light manufacturing and making foot lockers for the Empire's Soldiers in the All New Great War on (insert favorite war-de-jure here . . . . Drugs, Commies, Terror, what-have-you).
