A friend of mine who is in the airline industry and who's livelihood depends greatly on the price of oil says oil might hit $200 in the next month because of this Egypt unrest. Does anybody else think this?

Not unless it spills over into Saudi.

Which is not likely, as Egypt's troubles were probably at least partly sponsored by US.

Egypt has little oil to speak of. The only way this gains any traction is if the Egyptian crisis becomes a Middle East crisis. Once Mubarak finally steps down, then much of the popular anger will die down as well.

According to a shell station owner in town he says he was told gas is suppose to hit $4.38 gal in ca in 2 months. Right now im paying $3.26 gal. Two dollars too much.
