The tears are falling. My Yellow Lab is 11 1/2 now and I cannot even stand to think of my life without my "shadow."

Me, too... on the tears falling.

Labs are like little shadows. In fact, that's my dog's name.. "Shadow".

May you and your Yellow Lab have many more good years together!

Thank you World Citizen and elston. The vet told me he has never seen a Lab live longer than 12 years; Lady plans to beat those odds.

Elston, after the loss of Brownie this week, I thought I'd shed all the tears I had in me, but I was wrong. What a wonderful love story. Companionship, understanding, loyalty, kindness, and devotion. Beautifully lived between the two. RIP Brody. Maybe someone will get Ethel another friend soon. I bet Brody would like that.

You must have read my comment on the newspaper article.... Brody wouldn't want Ethel to be alone!

I'm so sorry for your loss of Brownie.

No, I didn't read your comment, but it seemed with the connection they each had, his heart and spirit would want her to have a companion to help her keep on keeping on.

Thank-you kindly for your words of sympathy.
