An update of a doggie named: Chai, tongue amputee

Do you guys remember a couple of threads here re: the news of Chai's "accident" tragedy?
Her tongue was stuck, got suctioned into the ball, and her tongue had to be removed because of the strong painful suction.

I cannot find any link from the internet, But I Just saw an update on my local news tonight!

She is doing better!!!

Can anyone find a link and post it here? I am sure that some of us here are aware of this sad story already but others that do not know yet should be Aware of this... so that it does not happen to another poor doggie. I remember seeing a video about Chai too, a long time ago, but on the news tonight they showed her doing Well!!! And the "Dad" was on the news too.

Never never buy or let any dog play with a ball, any ball/toy that only has One hole, it needs 2 so No suction is created.

This ball made by Four Paws, was supposedly "recalled" but it and similar ones are still out there... So please check your toys and supervise your doggies!

And... spread the word, PLEASE!!!

Hi Travel'r

Thanks for that

I tried to find the current clip from the news tonight but couldn't...

Anyway, thanks for finding that link.

There are other toys/balls like this out there still as well, so we must investigate all toys.

Also on the news tonight they said that Fours Paws did recall the ball But other Companies are still Selling it!!! So please please let all of us Beware and watch carefully what we give our doggies...

Why would they amputate the tongue when they could have cit the ball or drilled a hole in the other side to relieve the suction . I'm not a doctor bit seems like two better options than cutting off part of a tongue , smh

Dog loses tongue to chew toy - NY Daily News

"At the Animal Medical Center on the upper East Side, veterinarians cut a hole in the ball to dislodge Chai's swollen tongue.

Massive swelling ensued, and Chai's tongue was amputated a week later."
