don't you love that! zeke is usually the one who does the nights moves but i think it's because he's just so mellow during the day. my ex and i use to say he was doing his night exercises. miya on the other hand is ususally running around so much during the day that i think she only dreams of eating and getting loving at night.
Well generally I find it really endearing and it just makes me smile but I must say when he does the wake up barking and charging around thing, that always gives me a fright! It usually happens when we're all sprawled out watching tv and he's fast asleep and then out of nowhere Cujo!
I agree, I would love to know what their dreaming about. I am sure Woody finally catches the cat in his dreams. He runs and buff's in his sleep but also wags his tail, it must have been a happy dream.

I'd wake him up sometimes when he does that (just to make sure he's ok..), or sometimes he'd wake up when he happens to kick something (the wall, or the bedframe when he's on our bed)...
Yeah, this is normal. I've never had a dog that didn't twitch and whimper while dreaming. Some are more energetic than others.
My golden wakes himself up when he barks in his sleep.
Our 2 Goldens due the same. Dylan, the younger of the two, will bark and really get into the "chase". Sometimes I do wake them up....it's comparable to DH's snoring
Ohhh how I wouldn't love to "talk" with my dog about his dreams...what ever he's doing it sure looks like he's having a great time
So don't worry about your dogs movments and "talking" while he's dreaming, just enjoy and imagine what he's dreaming about...
