Well, I did it again... A friend called me this AM, she had gotten 2 yorkies from a puppymill that they were giving away.

The male is 5 yo and weighs 3 lbs and had to have all his teeth but 4 pulled because they were so bad. She had him neutered at the same time yesterday. He is skin and bones but I am sure he will gain weight at my house.

The female was much bigger and is a senior who has tumors all over her. She had been over bred.

This wonderful lady is keeping the female and wanted to know if I would take the male. Of course I couldn't say 'no'.

'Rocky' now has a new home, where he is marking his territory. He isn't house trained and has never been out of a cage until she brought him home. He is still not to sure about being here but I am sure he will be fine. I took him outside for a walk but kept him on a leash to be sure I could get him to come back inside.

Poor, poor little dogs.

How can anyone buy dogs from those people? Do they just NOT WANT TO KNOW how the breeder dogs are treated?

How can anyone mistreat one of those tiny little munchkins?

You can never have enough..

You are to wonderful for taking in another little baby. I know he is more thankful than anyone could ever imagine. He sounds like he's got a bunch of personality!

Well last night was rough because of bad rain storms and Rocky decided he did not want to be in the crate or locked in the bathroom. Finally got up and put him in bed next to me so I could get some sleep.

His hair is so dull and he is really too thin. I will post a pic.. the lady who picked him up gave him a hair cut, of sorts to get all the mats out of him.

The poor sweetheart! Our Choc Lab was a puppy mill stud before we got him. I can tell you that I have never met a more gentle, loving and sweet dog in my life. Hug your new kid for me. After the horrors they have lived through, these guys deserve all the love you can give 'em. Thank you for opening your heart and home to him!
