I think this is just so cruel! There was a dog sitting in the front entrance this` morning just looking around when I came through. I left my car door open because I was unloading groceries. When I came back out to get another arm full, I found him sitting in the back seat. I had to coax him out with food. It was hot, and he was skinny, so naturally I felt sorry for her. Sigh.....
Now, I have this beagle dog outside laying around under the shade tree, because I fed him. It seems like stray animals know exactly which house to come too.
I wish people would stop dumping their animals off in front of other peoples houses.

Are you sure it's not an escapy? Did it have a collar? Good for you for taking care of it though.

Nope... no collar. Its getting ready to storm here and now she`s in the house. I haven`t ever seen her around here, and thats what makes me think someone dumped her off at the entrance.
Honestly...I can`t keep her in here. We have a butthole of a dog thats half jack russell.. (I think.)
There is no room in here for her. She looks like a big cow... Black and white spotted big dog with black floppy ears, and sad brown eyes.
I`m a sucker.

Yeah I wish they would stop. Currently I am fostering two puppies that were dumped in my yard. Actually there where 3 but one got adopted and the other two will hopefully be on their way to KY this week.

Won`t they just slam them into the animal shelter, and he could take a chance not to be adopted?
I figure since she cannot possibly stay indoors, that someone around here will call them anyway. I`m looking for her a good home, but its hard.

If you call the pound than yes they will just put it to sleep after a few days. But since you said it's a beagle, there may be a beagle rescue organization that will take it. They do adoptions and are "no kill", unless the dog can not be saved.

Black and white?

Not a beagle, unless I'm much mistaken.

A Dalmatian, a Foxhound or even a very young Harlequin Great Dane, perhaps.

And all abandoned dogs have sad eyes.

Just say the magic words, "C'mon, sweetie, let's go home", and see those sad eyes vanish.

Yeah....I`ll check into that. I`m not sure what kind he is really. He has those long floppy ears, and sad droopy eyes that remind me of a beagle.. maybe mixed with a great dane? He is large for a beagle. Ohhhhhh... I don`t know. Wish I had the space to keep him. He is such a good natured dog.
