Maybe this suit will bring much needed attention to the horrors of puppy mills and educate people not to buy from pet stores.

The USDA is cracking down on all breeders.

All pups at 8wk have to have a health certificate from a veterinarian.

If the USDA audits us and we don't have the health cert they can pull our Lic.

If people would just educate themselves period it would be less stress on the animal community.

There's stories like this all the time and still people buy from these places thinking that they are "rescuing" the animals.

I hope they win this suit, but I don't know about educating people making a huge difference right away. I saw a report, I think on 60 Minutes, on the truth about pet store puppies, in the 80's. I'm sure that educated some people- it certainly taught me something I never forgot. But shockingly 30 or more years later, stores like Happiness is Pets, Petland etc. continue to operate the same way.
People are learning, but it's a very slow process.
