Has anyone tried this program? Are you happy with it? I have done South Beach diet and Dr. Atkins diet and had success with them but I am breastfeeding right now and told by my doctor not to do those diets since I can lose my milk supplies. What I like about this speel is you can eat pizza or ice cream supposely every third day or switched day. I wish I knew how this works so I figure out if I should pay the money or wait until I am done breast feeding. I really need to lose 60 pounds but don't want to lose money as well.

A fad diet called "Skinny Switch Secret" where you can eat pizza and ice cream.

For the love of god, please save your money for something else.

I understand Oleo but this diet is to lose fat and not muscle by tricking your body by eating good for a couple of days than have one bad food the next day and switch on different days.Supposely it makes your body work harder. It really makes since kinda line P90X exercise. Instead of doing the same exercise over and over your body get used to it and don't get fast results. You just switch it up with different exercise. That is why I want other people opinion? Am I correct by what I said?

The South Beach Diet is amazingly common-sense and healthy. I can't understand why your doctor would tell you not to follow it. I could see not following Phase 1, because it's too restrictive until you've weaned the baby, but Phase 3? That's the way we should all be eating!

Well in order for the diet to work you need to do the strict one so you body eliminate all the bad stuff then work you way in but your right I should be able to do the phase 3. When breastfeeding you need to keep the fat in your body for the milk to supply.

Used to be that weightwatchers was safe to do while pregnant and breastfeeding although I think you have more points. Personally, I would just eat very, very healthily, just whole foods, three good meals a day with some healthy snacks in between vs an actual "diet". Any diet is too restricting in my opinion.

You can do your own skinny switch, seems to me after reading about this program it's 2 days of dieting with a day of cheating. So follow a rigid diet plan for 2 days and the jump start your metabolisim as they claim this does by having a cheat day.

I have been dieting since the first of the year, so far I have lost 13.2 pounds. I diet for 6 days per week, I take one day for myself ... if I want pizza I have pizza, if I want icecream I have it I eat whatever I want on Friday's and if I want a couple of beers with that pizza I have it, I don't do this every week but I do allow it to be done only on Friday and if I do have these things I do it without any guilt. It helps to have a day that you can treat yourself it you want, and you would be surprised at how many times just know that you can if you want, helps you not to cheat.

It works for me. Don't pay someone else money for what you can do for yourself. Save that money and spend it on your little baby.

Well don't eat the bad foods because you are breast feeding. Breast feeding can make you lose weight alone...

This works on the principles of the body getting adjusted to whatever you are doing by day three.
Its called calorie shifting or calorie zig zagging.

Personally I don't think you should try to diet at all when breastfeeding. Toxins in the environment bind in your fat cells and are removed in larger quantities when losing weight or fasting. Dont try to lose weight fast till you are done breast feeding. Its not healthy for the baby.

Diet for a healthy breastfeeding mum

Kareybear -

I signed up last Sunday, however it took a while for me to get my arms around the program. I customized the meal plan and printed out my shopping list yesterday (Thurs). Will officially start tomorrow (Sat). I think it makes sense and am willing to give it a try. The biggest drawback - which is why it took me a few days to get started - is all the meals and recipes. My plan is to make as much ahead of time on the weekends. As with any program though, if you plan ahead, the successs (IMO) is greater.

I'd love to know how you are doing. Come over and post on their website.
