I'm sorry I couldn't give you street names, though. But, they're out there. It hasn't quite gone downhill as fast as other smaller Michigan cities, like Highland Park and Mount Clemens, but it's starting to get pretty run-down.

It's very sad to hear that there are boarded up homes in Eastpointe. Eastpointe is still a very viable area though, so those houses will probably be sold eventually by the bank or who ever owns them and new families will move in. I don't think that Eastpointe will fall to the level of some of the Detroit neighborhoods. And I really doubt that you are going to start to see demolition in Eastpointe anytime soon.

Love how you assume that he's talking about a group of blacks. LOL. You and your paradise city of Harper Woods.

I think it'll be a while before homes in Eastpointe start selling again. However, like you said, I don't think the entire city will collapse in on itself like Detroit and other cities in Michigan. It'll take time for it come to back, though.

What's funny is a paradise city like Gaylord has a higher crime rate than Eastpointe for the past decade. Not that I'm keeping score, but so far in items stolen from my property Gaylord 1 Harper Woods 0. Number of police reports filed Gaylord 1 Harper Woods 0. It's been over a year and have not had any trouble in Harper Woods. He didn't give any indication on what signs of gang activity were in Eastpointe so I had to assume. It's ok, I'm glad Harper Woods has the reputation it has. Means I pay lower taxes and paid a fraction of the price for my house vs. the guy 12 houses down. I also get to send my kids to one of the best school districts in the state. About as close to paradise as I can get.

I know which one you are talking about now. Kind of in the plaza where Kmart used to be. I don't like Arby's so I pay no attention to them.
