Love the "Outsource to Detroit" sign.

That is an excellent notion. "The China Price" is so 20th Century, especially when you factor in quality, logistics costs / times, and general hassle factor.

Some pictures looking west from the edge of downtown.

The first two photos show the Ambassador Bridge connecting the sister cities of Detroit and Windsor. The building on the left is the renovated Fort Shelby Building, which houses some elite residences and also the downtown Double Tree hotel. On the horizon, you can see the smokestacks of the Ford Rouge Plant and Zug Island- a large constellation in Detroit's industrial empire.

The third photo is looking west down Michigan Avenue (with Chicago just 270 miles down the road). The large building on the left is the McNamara Federal Building, which houses several federal agencies, including the U.S. Attorney's Office. The Building on the right is the regional headquarters of AT&T.

I love how it just lights up the river. Looks almost good enough to swim in lol.
I see they are already getting alot of pics of the skyline with the new lights on top of the GM building.

The lights light up the city streets too. It pretty much outshines any other lights in the area.

Even with color correction, there's a subtle blue tint on everything that directly faces the Ren Cen that isn't under direct light.

Check out 1001 Woodward and Detroit City apartments (some of that might be Christmas decorations, I didn't really check it out)

This one actually isn't color corrected, it's automatic white balance and so the camera picked up a lot of blue in the background lighting. But I like how it contrasted with the shorter building.

I wonder how it looks for the people who have hotel rooms right next to the lights. They were also unevenly lit, as you can see, and they kept flickering every few minutes.

They ought to put a strip club up on top of the RenCen with all those gaudy neon lights.
