The term "on demand" means simply means "pay to watch". So I don't like it.

Wow is Headquared in Denver,Co and has a long term debt of 189 million.

Comcast is Headquarted in Philadelphia, PA and has a long term debt of 47.8 billion.

Wow will not let one (forgive the formal English) use their own purchased modem. Comcast will.

I get very few of the channels using Comcast that I used to get with Wow.

Having had both over the years I can't say enough nice things about WOW! While Comcast does have wonderful internet the company's customer service is deplorable more often than not.
I got tired of the crap shoot with CS("Will I get treated with a bit of decency today or is this 'let's be nasty day?' at the Comcast call center")&kicked Comcast to the curb.
I'm highly pleased wit the service I receive from WOW. The internet serves my needs, cable hasn't gone out yet,and the call reps conduct themselves as if they're glad to have me as a customer.

Comcast sucks, and they are the only available provider where I live. Neighboring communities have Comcast, WOW, and ATT to choose from, majority of the people I know have WOW and like it. My in-laws recently switched from WOW to Comcast because they got the big teaser rate, they can't wait to get back to WOW. WOW is approx 2/3 the price for same package.

I use WOW for internet only and like the fact I can pay for just that. I get 15m/2 m service for $30 a month. That is even being with them for several years. When the rate goes up at the end of a year, I call, and they put me on the next promo just like that. I did have the triple play with them, but got rid of it last year when I was between jobs. I went to work again, but found I don't watch that much TV. All of the locals come in just fine OTA, I have a DVR of my own to record programming, and otherwise watch Netflix.

To talk to a previous poster who commented a while ago, you can use your own modem on WOW. I bought a Motorola Surfboard as a refurb on Amazon for $20. I called WOW, they registered it and had it working in just a few minutes.
