Now that I've got my move squared away, I am starting to look at options for my TV provider. Was wondering what people's experiences are with the local providers in Dearborn in making my decision. I have had a crappy experience with Comcast not having such channels as Fox Soccer in full HD in Virginia, so I am a bit biased against them but am willing to change my mind. Thoughts?

I've never really gotten any of the HD packages, but I'd avoid AT&T for anything. Lots of hidden price hikes and stuff like that.

I've "unbundled" and saved money by getting DSL from AT&T and cable from Comcast, with no contract/commitment from either. I can cancel anytime. Comcast's "Triple Play" deal is a rip off. The $99/month is promotional pricing only. There are a series of discounts that expire at different times. Eventually, you will be paying $180 or even more per month.

Yeesh. So far it looks like I'll be going with DirecTV for television (as they are the only ones who have Fox Soccer in HD; Comcast doesn't, as confirmed on their site yesterday) and Comcast for Internet. Just need to find a way to get their $19.95/month for the first six deal with a free modem. Right now I found a referral website that has 12 mbps service on this deal, but their own website has 20 mbps for the same price (but I've got to lease the modem). Might just end up buying a modem/router combo.
