I mean he can't even run the City and it seems all his plan is is to tear down anything that White people built, The roit in 1967 was the start of clearing of Detriot nieghborhoods, You drive down around Eastern Market and all the empty lots for as faras you can see in some spots of the City, and the houses that are being built in Detroit what a bunch of crap, if the people only knew. but then again most folks who have some money are moving out to the burbs. But the plans of the Governor 's TAX and SPEND will set Detriot and Michigan back for years to come.
Few years ago; there was a 'mysterious grease fire' in the Gratiot Central Market; burning it down; conveniently making way to rebuild a small, tiny imitation of the former glory days Meat Markets at Eastern market area along Russel & Winder; sad that it is a tourist attraction; overpriced goods; with 'farmers' in pink-polo shirts, tans, crates of fruits/veggies marked with mexico or california stickers on them!?! This is Michigan Farmers? duh...

What a sham; nobody but the mayor, city council, or employees are benefitting from taxpayers money.

Also, why are you under the impression that white people built everything thing of that period, could it be that the racist of that time would not allow any minorities into the building trades or to allow them the opportunity to work alongside of them.

Stop holding back progress to the region, stop injecting race into every question when the race issue dosen't apply.
The statement of 'bldgs that white people built' is typical words that come out of mouths of Rochester Hills residents; they have a history in Auburn Heights and Rochester (hills was not added till ballplayers moved there) only farmers, orchards were in that area; who owns that? Sh*t kicking hillbilly, redneck trailer trash; look at the Rochester Estates? HA, that is a huge neighborhood of double-wide trailers. Can you say redneck? that is what lives in Rochester now. Strictly whites that NEVER lived IN or NEAR Detroit, so what makes them an authority on 'what was built' by whom?

People talk about how the Mayor is doing a great job, like lieing on the stand at the City's Whistle Blowers case, This guy is nothing more then a wanta be Gangster with all his wild party's and spending the City's money on what ? You talk about him like he's someone who's done something to help Detroit but yet they have a deficit of 300 million and he wants to tear down Tiger Stadium so he can put more money in the pockets of his Family. why hasn't he talked about the Train Station that was going to be the New Police Dept. or how about Detroit Schools and how there was what 46 million stolen, But hey the Mayor looks the other way. and for you so called city rats that live in Detroit and us so called REDNECK White Folks who don't know nothing about the City well I hate to tell you I lived there down on Mitchell and Joesph Campau so don't tell me I don't know Detroit. If you go down there now all you see are empty lots one after a another so why isn't the Mayor building houses around Eastern Market? Or why is that the Mayor isn't doing something to bring Businesses to Detroit Oh yeah that's right he's like the Governor has a plan but no one has seen it yet. Maybe after he leaves Office. I will find the list of Historical buildings Kwame has tore down so you can see that they weren't just old houses built back in 1907.
