Either way, thanks much to the original poster -- great tour.

For anyone interested in more pictures of East Colfax, I found a site called ColfaxLove.com that seems to be dedicated strictly to photos of Colfax Ave. I believe they have yearly photo tours of the street as well.

Default Ethiopian food

The Ethiopian Restaurant in the pictures, on Fillmore and Colfax is the BEST IN TOWN. The food is incredible. Great tour! I think I might head into town and get me some injera bread.

Really enjoyed these pics. I lived a couple buildings behind Video One and worked at Argonaut for a couple years. This was in the mid 90's. I've been back a couple times and have seen some changes. Can't wait to move back to Colorado.

Highlights for me were Pete's kitchen...lines at 3am so you can go hang with transvestites and cowboys. Rawk. Owner was a complete prick though.

Lions Lair (not pictured)...great dive bar. Not as good as the Skyline, but good.

Taki's...man do I miss that place. Ate there so so so many times.

The Ogden...great place to see a show.

Charlie's...had a lot of gay cowboy buddies I'd go there with. Good times. (not the food joint, heh)

Bluebird...Saw Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke on the bigscreen. Awesome.

Scooters drive thru...one block away from more beer. Came in handy.

Argonaut liquors...like I said, worked there for a couple years. So entertaining. We use to glue change to the floor and watch the drunks struggle to pick it up. We really did have too much fun there, as you can see here...

Oh wow! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I've been out of Denver for 26 loooong years and am trying to decide whether to return or head to the West Coast. This made the decision tougher. I went to East High and lived in a charming dump on 13th and Vine after going to school at CU Boulder. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
