As far as the reports that this stuff frightens children, this is proof that something is wrong. By nature children are naturally in tuned with there 6 senses and there environment until its suppressed by there parents and society over time.
that darn horse scares the crap out of me too, and I am not a chld lol.

There are other things but, what up with the artwork in that airport? I can find some pics if you want.

I had been through Denver Airport a few times at least but I guess I missed all that wacko artwork.
That painting is indeed disturbing to say the list. What is with the Nazi soldier wearing a gas mask, holding a machine gun while charging up on a white pigeon in the butt with what looks like an Arabic or Pirate type sword? Crying women and children on the side and a rainbow in the back??

Clearly, the artist was on drugs.

If you look at all the pictures of the related murals, you can see that it is a depiction of hope and victory. At first the nazi is supressing the few weak people, but there is a rainbow of hope creeping up behind him. Then in the next mural, everyone in the world came together and broke the sword of the nazi and you can see him lying horizontally in defeat. Don't worry people, Denver isn't the home to the beginning of NWO.

I think this is all hilarious. You want my opionion, I think the airport design ITSELF is the ugliest piece of art i've ever seen.

Its supposed to resemble the rocky mountains. I think it looks like a giant circus tent. I wonder what would happen if you cut one of the guy wires supporting it?

Well, next time they should pick a theme that they are capable of delivering successfully. Better yet, they should have picked something that glorifies Danver or CO in general, shows its beautiful sides, features, properties. What is with the Nazis and rainbows at an airport nevertheless, plain stupid if you ask me.

X2. The artwork should reflect the history and beauty of Colorado. Mining, the Old West, the Mountains, outdoor recreation, etc. There is so much beauty, why bring Nazi's into it?

Are you for real? DIA is about the most beautiful airport in the country! I love flying in and out of DIA. When I see the roof of the main terminal when my plane lands, I feel like I'm home.

I think it does grow on you. The baggage debacle and the budget overruns left a bad taste in everyone's mouth at the time, but 1995 is pretty much ancient history now. It doesn't even seem as impossibly far out as it used to, probably due to the unbelieveable sprawl we've had since then.

I even like the mustang out front. It reminds me of Bucky the Bronco. Well, perhaps a very mad Bucky.

Yes I live in Denver. The airport is actually really nice. There are the trains underneath the ground to get to one terminal to another since the airport is so big about 56 miles in diameter and no it wasn't chosen for its magnetic energy it was choosen because of the huge land area aviable.

I would put the terminal as an architectural wonder. It is sophisticated, yet using very unsophisticated materials, much like a tent. The entire roof is resin coated fabric (if I am remembering correctly) and is built on a frame work supported with rollers on its edges to allow the roof to shift slightly when high winds are present. Quite a wonder.
