i'm also intersted to hear what people think about downtown apartments (especially apt communities). apartmentraitings.com seems like a pretty bad indicator of what people really think - only angry people post their thoughts.

does anyone have any positive (or negative i guess) comments about the manhattan, metro, premier lofts, commons park, stations at riverfront, ballpark lofts, etc, etc.

Thanks -

I live at the Metro. If I didn't split my rent with my boyfriend there's no way I could afford to live here. I do like it, but because it's such a huge place, stuff seems to break frequently. Elevators not working, card readers in the entrances breaking, the garage getting stuck, stuff like that. It's close to LoDo and I have a love for baseball and it's a huge plus for me to be able to walk to any game I want.

There's also a pool and hot tub here (although the hot tub's more like a lukewarm tub). Message me if you would like more info!

If you work/study downtown, then it is very nice to live there but very expensive. Being close to lightrail is a better option. All depends on location and what you like. Search this forum and you will see what many people have said about it so far.

Commons Park West is a decent value for money, I think, given its location. However, the best source in looking for rentals is Craigslist, as you're much more likely to find a good deal from an individual owner than a corporate apartment management company.

I live in the Park Hill Flats, not in the hardcore downtown, but 2 miles east. I love it so far. All the units have been remodeled nicely. Street parking with no fee, pets allowed. It's almost full I believe, it's a small little building with about 20 units.
