I agree, we live in crappy apartments (Sonoma resort at saddle rock) while we are searching for a home and the cheapest 1 bedroom here is 900 a month. We are renting a 2 bedroom with a garage for 1330 a month. I'm sure there are cheaper apartments around if you want to live in an area that isn't nice.

Creekside near Glendale (I think) were around $750 when we first started looking. Reminded me of my crappy college apartment, but its a roof over your head if you're on a tight budget.

When did you first start looking? The price of rent is raising quickly in this area. We had a 6 month lease and it just ran out and we had to sign another one and the rent rent up $100 just in those 6 months.
