I'm in the market for a crock pot and would prefer to support local businesses rather than a big box store. Do you know of any locally-owned stores that would carry kitchen gadgets?

How about Ace Hardware? The stores are locally owned. They sell crock pots.

If this isn't for a gift and you don't mind used visit Goodwill. There's a nice one one South Broadway and Dakota, and on Leetsdale in Glendale. Also an Arc further down near Parker and 225.

I know a couple locally run appliance places, but not that carry small household goods like crockpots.

For a crockpot, you might try cooking/kitchenware stores, rather than looking for an appliance store.

Here's a start - some of the stores mentioned on this list are locally owned: Top Kitchenware Stores « CBS Denver

McGuckins in Boulder is another suggestion - it's a huge, locally owned hardware and more store, with the best customer service you can imagine.
